This is a government-funded body set up to regulate the Nutritional Therapy Profession and to ensure the highest standards of practice and professional qualifications.

Anne-Marie holds the 3-year diploma in nutritional therapy from the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION), Richmond, London. The Institute was founded by Patrick Holford (author of The Optimum Nutrition Bible) in 1984 with the support of Linus Pauling (Scientist and Winner of two Nobel Prizes). ION graduates have an excellent reputation for their professional clinical skills, in addition to their scientific training. Celebrity nutritionist Ian Marber, commonly known as 'The Food Doctor', is also a former graduate of ION.

Anne-Marie has a postgraduate certificate in education from Manchester University. As an ex-primary school teacher, Anne-Marie is now using her teaching skills tutoring students at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. This also allows her to keep up to date with all the latest nutrition research.

Anne-Marie has an honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Stirling, Scotland and worked as a Manager for British Steel in her early career, before starting a family.
Anne-Marie has always had a passion for healthy eating and discovered at an early age the benefits of modifying diet to improve health symptoms.
Anne-Marie believes that life is a journey of self-discovery; learning how to keep ourselves healthy, at each lifestage, through good nutrition, an active lifestyle, positive work-life balance and healthy relationships is all part of that journey.
